Birmingham man charged with woman's murder in Rugby

Police have charged a man with the murder of a 42-year-old woman.

Gabrielle Chapman, known as Gabi, was stabbed several times in an incident at her home in Winfield Street, Rugby, on Saturday evening.

Damien Fincher, from Birmingham, formerly known as Peter McNamee, of Highgate, Birmingham, was arrested on Saturday, police said.

He was charged on Wednesday and remanded in custody to appear before magistrates in Nuneaton on Thursday.
