Man attacked after being hit by a car in Canley

Police and medics were called to the attack

A man was hit by a car and then attacked in a Coventry street.

The attack happened in John Rous Avenue, Canley, and saw police and paramedics called to the victim's aid at around 10pm on Wednesday night (March 27).

Police believed that two offenders were involved and they fled the scene after the attack.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "Police are investigating after a man was struck by a car and then attacked on John Rous Avenue, Canley, shortly after 10pm on Wednesday, March 27.

"The man in his 30s was taken to hospital to be treated for injuries which are not believed to be life-changing.
