A Coventry man has been charged with firearms offences after armed police stopped a car in Bulkington.

The armed response unit from West Midlands Police stopped the vehicle in Arden Road, Bulkington on Monday night, March 11.

A man was arrested at the scene.

Farron Ilsley, 23, from Hill Road, Keresley Village, has been charged with conspiracy to sell or transfer a prohibited weapon and conspiracy to possess a prohibited weapon with intent to endanger life.

He will appear before Birmingham magistrates today, Wednesday, March 13.
