Nighttime traffic warden fines 'could raise £40k a year'

Wed Dec 05, 2018 1:20 am

Traffic wardens in Coventry could patrol at night in a move to collect more fines.

The city council says the after-dark patrols could raise £40,000 a year.

The authority is looking for ways to make up a £10m shortfall in its budget and says it will consult on the proposals.

It is also considering more cameras to monitor bus lanes, and more patrols to stop people illegally parking outside schools.

I'm surprised it's taken them this long to work it out. :clown:

I wonder how many will loose their jobs with this because not having enough time to read the news also loosing money to get to work having to pay the fine. As one man said when he tried to pay a fine they continued not to give details how to pay it another man told him CCC does this purposely up to nine times on the one fine so they get more money out of the offender.
