Robbers with knife and cricket bat stole wallets in Coventry

Police have released a CCTV image as their investigation continues

Two people were mugged in a city centre street by robbers holding a knife and a cricket bat.

The victims were in Upper Well Street when two suspects stole the victims' wallets and then made off in a blue Volkswagen Polo.

One of the stolen bank cards was later used to make fraudulent transactions in Solihull.

The incident happened at 3.50am on Saturday, July 28.

Coventry Police have now released a CCTV image of a man they believe may have vital information.

They are keen to speak to him and anyone who recognises him or has any information is asked to call police on 101 or via the live chat at http://www.west-midlands.police.uk between 8am and midnight, quoting crime reference 20CV/170706F/18.
