All trains running between Coventry and Leamington ground to a halt this morning - due to an issue with the track.

West Midlands Railway Tweeted that as a result of a track safety inspection, no services were running along the line, causing disruption for train travellers.

It is not know why the track needs to be inspected but the disruption lasted until 1pm.

In the meantime, replacement buses were offered to those stranded as a result of this.

Services affected were West Midlands Railway services from Leamington to Coventry via Kenilworth, and CrossCountry services to and from Bournemouth to Manchester Piccadilly.

Those looking to travel to these destinations saw their tickets accepted on other reasonable routes.

In a Tweet, West Midlands Railway advised that "passengers will be able to travel on the number 11 bus between Coventry and Leamington Spa ".

Elsewhere in the region, all other services appear to be running as scheduled.

They spent tens of millions on new stations when the track is falling apart! :fuming:
