Burges shop has been derelict for 10 years - now something is happening

Plaza Studio has been an eyesore in the Burges for more than a decade



An abandoned shop in Coventry city centre could be getting a new lease of life.

Hoardings have been put up around the former Plaza Studio clothes shop which has stood derelict in the Burges for over a decade.

Until recently, all that remained of the shop - right next to the Coventry Cross pub - was a rusted metal shutter and three of its four walls.

The back wall had collapsed and there were mountains of weeds, rubbish and rubble where clothes racks used to stand.

It's unclear what's happening at the site at this time, but there are plans to spruce up the street as part of a £2million plan to showcase the River Sherbourne.
