Officers smash their way in to Nuneaton home in drugs raid

This is the moment police smashed the window of a home in Nuneaton during a drugs raid.

Officers climbed straight through the window the moment the glass fell and found Class A drugs - believed to be crack cocaine - with an estimated street value of £400 and cannabis with an estimated street value of more than £3,000.

Officers believe the drugs were due to be sold and seized them this morning from a property in Cedar Road, Camp Hill.

A 23-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of drugs.

PC Callum Howell, from the North Nuneaton and Bedworth Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: "There will be no safe place for drug dealers in Nuneaton as we continue to respond to local community concerns regarding drug crime and associated violent crime and anti-social behaviour."

Man charged after police drugs raid in Camp Hill

A man has been charged and appeared in court following a drugs raid in Nuneaton.

Warwickshire Police stated that drugs with a street value of more than £3,000 were seized from a home in Cedar Road, Camp Hill, last Thursday.

Police have now charged Philip Tyler with possession of cannabis with intent to supply and possession of cocaine.

The 23-year-old, of Cedar Road, Nuneaton, appeared at Warwickshire Magistrates' Court on Friday and was remanded in custody ahead of his next hearing at Warwick Crown Court on August 6.
