Glyn Skipper has spoken about his terrible injuries in a bid to stop others getting hurt
An elderly man who broke four ribs and suffered a fractured skull when he was knocked down by a bike on a pavement in Coventry says pedestrians are being put at risk every day in the city.
Glyn Skipper is still suffering the effects of the horrific collision on Tile Hill Lane six months on.
The 70-year-old was in University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire for two weeks after the crash and it took him six months to properly get back on his feet.
Now he has spoken out in a bid to stop others getting hurt.
Glyn said he often saw bikes come speeding down Tile Hill Lane "at 30mph" and "like a bat out of hell".
As well as his injuries, his two dogs have also been hit by cyclists along the road.
And he also found a young girl aged around three who he believes had been knocked down by a cyclist there.
He said: "Two months ago I saw a little girl lying down on the grass and I knew where she had come from and knocked on the woman's door.
"I said I hadn't seen it but I suspected she had been hit by a bike. She managed to pick her up and she was only about three years old.
"She'd only been out on the pavement playing."
Glyn said it was not just Tile Hill Lane where pedestrians were at risk.
He added: "It's bad everywhere in the city ."

Cyclists face crackdown on no-go areas
Cyclists could be stopped from cycling through pedestrianised areas of Rugby, if plans are approved.
The borough council is considering a crackdown on bikes after residents said they were causing a nuisance in the area.
Councillors are now proposing a public space protection order for cyclists in the pedestrianised zones in the town centre.
It could see cyclists forced to dismount from their bikes between between 09:00 and 18:00 cyclists - or face a fine.
