It happened as the girls were walking home from school in Bedworth
A police probe is underway after three girls were allegedly approached by a suspicious man in a van as they walked home from school in Bedworth.
Officers are investigating the incident which took place in Newtown Road yesterday afternoon.
It has been reported that the girls were approached by a black Transit-type van and the man inside called out to them.
The girls did not respond and raised the alarm.
Warwickshire Police said that officers are now looking into the incident and it has been stressed that no-one was harmed.
A force spokesperson said: “Police have received a report of an incident in which three girls were approached by a black Transit-type van in Newtown Road, Bedworth , and the girls were called out to.
“This happened at around 4.10pm yesterday (Tuesday 8 May).
"Nobody was harmed in the incident and local officers will be seeking to establish the circumstances.”
It is understood that members of the Bedworth Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) will be carrying out inquiries today.
