Bulkington paedophile who raped young girl jailed for string of sexual attacks

Cops say Wayne Domeney's actions will have 'lifelong consequences' for his victim



A paedophile found guilty of a string of sexual offences including rape has been caged.

Wayne Domeney, formerly of Bulkington, has started a 17-year prison sentence for sexual offences he committed between 2010 and 2014.

A warrant was issued on January 29 by Warwick Crown Court after the 51-year-old failed to appear to face charges relating to a number of sexual offences, including rape and causing a child to engage in sexual activity.

He was convicted in his absence and appeared at Birmingham Crown Court on Friday (March 23) for sentencing.

He was found guilty of an additional charge of failing to appear for trial for which he was sentenced to four months in prison.

Domeney now of Generation Place, Consett, County Durham, was found guilty of:

* One count of rape of a female under 13

* Three counts of rape of a female aged 13-15

* One count of assault of a girl under 13 by penetration

* One count of engaging in penetrative sexual activity with a child aged 13-15

* One count of causing to incite a child to engage in sexual activity

* One count of witness intimidation

Detectives condemned Domeney's actions which they say will have 'lifelong consequences' for his victim.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Kate Williams from Warwickshire Police said: "Domeney's actions have resulted in lifelong consequences for his victim who is still coming to terms with what he did.

"Now that he is behind bars for a substantial length of time I hope she feel a sense of justice for the trauma he caused.

"She showed tremendous courage in talking to us about her experience and I hope this conviction will also encourage other victims to report offences to us.

"It doesn't matter when the assaults happened, where they took place or who did it - we will take every report seriously and help provide support."

Anyone who has been the victim of a sexual offence is being urged to report it to the police on 101, where specially trained officers will offer help and advice.

What can one say??? Seventeen years, probably get a reduction if he behaves himself while in prison. There is no suitable penalty for this monster in western countries. I some middle eastern countries he would praised for his actions, the world is mad.
His crimes are inexcusable but I feel there must have been some cooperation from his victim but that doesn't detract from the enormity of his crime.
