BOE raises interest rates by 0.25%

Not before time IMO

I wouldn't read too much into this 'rise', it could just be a feign to see how markets react. The BoE is still buying treasury bonds at an unprecedented rate which is keeping real interest rates at record lows.

The 'natural' rate of interest is around 5%. Anything else is down to manipulation.
