Man headbutted by thug who wanted drugs

Coventry Police are appealing to help to find the attacker



Police have released CCTV footage after a man was headbutted in Coventry city centre by someone asked him for drugs.

The victim was standing outside Ikea in Croft Road with his girlfriend when they were approached by the attacker.

After asking for “weed” the thug headbutted the boyfriend and then ran off.

The incident happened on Wednesday, September 27, at around 2am.

The attacker is described as black, approximately 6ft, of medium build with black hair shaved at the sides and longer on the top.

He was wearing a light pink t-shirt with either very short or cut-off sleeves.

Anyone who recognises the man or has any information is asked to contact Coventry Police’s investigation team on 101, quoting crime number 20CV/205854N/17.
