Woman sexually assaulted on bus in Coventry

Police release CCTV image as investigations continue

Police are asking the public for their help after a woman was sexually assaulted on a bus in Coventry.

The woman was on the number 13 bus when a man got on at a stop in Remembrance Road, Willenhall, at around 2.30pm on Friday, August 4.

After striking up a conversation with the woman, he made sexually suggestive comments and is believed to have touched her inappropriately.

The woman, who was very shaken and frightened, got off the bus and reported the incident to police.

Coventry Police have now released an image of a man they wish to speak to in connection with the incident as he may have vital information.

He is described as black, 5ft 9ins, skinny, about 40 years old, with short tight curly hair. He was carrying alcoholic drink in a Sainsbury’s carrier bag.

Anyone who recognises the man in the picture or has any information is asked to call police on 101, quoting 20CV/169715G/17.

Its not their daughter mother or sister is if it was it would be front page on that day ot happened. .
