Styvechale residents oppose school expansion plans

Mon Jun 07, 2010 11:10 pm

Primary school expansion plans in Coventry will exacerbate local traffic congestion, residents claim.

Grange Farm Primary School, in Styvechale, applied for permission to build more classrooms to double its entry level intake by 2012.

Styvechale Grange Residents' Association said roads could not cope and some driveways had been blocked.

Coventry City Council said 411 extra school places would be needed across the city by 2012.

The school wants to double its entry level intake to 60 pupils.
