Woman, 38, stable after Coventry assault

A woman is in a stable condition in hospital after being assaulted in Coventry.

The 38-year-old, who was attacked at about 2230 BST on Wednesday, was found with facial injuries on Aldermans Green Road.

A 44-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident.

A cordon remained in place on Aldermans Green Road late on Thursday morning, a spokesman for West Midlands Police said.
