Seized... the crack cocaine and heroin which was seized during the raid in Nuneaton
MORE than £1,000 worth of crack cocaine and heroin has been seized during a raid on an address in Nuneaton.
Officers from the Offender Management Unit (OMU) swooped on a property in Queens Road yesterday afternoon (Wednesday, June 21).
They seized crack cocaine with an estimated street value £1,160 and heroin to the street value of £580.
A 28-year-old man was arrested within the property along with a 40-year-old woman. The woman was later released under investigation.
Following interview and consultation with the CPS, a 28 year old man from Birmingham, was charged with possession with intent to supply heroin & crack cocaine and remanded into custody.
The raid came as a result earlier in the day when OMU officers were on patrol in the Alexandra Street area of Nuneaton.
They observed what they suspected to be a drug deal taking place between a man and the occupants inside a vehicle.
A 41-year-old man arrested at the scene on suspicion of supplying class A drugs. He was later bailed.
A 30 -year-old man and 28 -year-old woman were arrested for possession of class A drugs. The man was released with no further action and the female cautioned for possession.
