Staff at Nuneaton's biggest leisure centre have been forced to close the main pool
Due to a technical difficulty the pool at the Pingles Leisure Centre is currently closed.
But management hope that they will be able to re-open it later today (Tuesaday, April 18).
Some families had turned up and were told that they could only swim in the smaller pools.
A notice has been posted on the centre's Facebook page, which reads: "Important customer notice,
"Our main pool will be closed until further notice, information about the swimming lessons will be posted later on today.
"The reason is technical and out of our control. An engineer is on site now trying to rectify. The leisure pool and outdoor pools are open as usual
"We apologise for any inconvenience caused."
Nick Stowey, general manager of the Pingles, said: "I can confirm that the main pool at Pingles Leisure Centre is closed until further notice.
"We are experiencing an unforeseen technical issue in the plant room and we have an engineer currently on site to resolve the matter.
"We hope to reopen the pool later today (Tuesday, April 18) and will keep members and visitors updated via our social media pages. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause."
