Scotland did not escape without punishment. They also wore black armbands bearing a poppy during the game at Wembley and have been fined 20,000 Swiss Francs (£15,698).

Both sides avoided a points deduction in World Cup qualification from football's governing body.

England and Scotland were not the only home nations to be hit with a fine by FIFA for their actions surrounding Armistice Day and Remembrance Sunday.

Wales were fined 20,000 Swiss Francs (£15,698) by FIFA, while Northern Ireland have been hit with a punishment requiring them to pay 15,000 Swiss Francs (£11,774).
