Jewellery worth £100,000 stolen by smash-and-grab raiders in Coventry

Smash-and-grab thieves have stolen £100,000 worth of rings, chains and bracelets from a jewellers in Coventry city centre.

Staff at Olivers Jewellers, in Shelton Square, say they are prepared to pay a “substantial reward” for anyone who has information which leads to the return of the stolen items.

Among the jewellery taken in the raid in the early hours of Tuesday were diamond bracelets and solid gold chains.

Shannon Dolan, from Olivers Jewellers, told the Telegraph: “In the early hours of the morning they came through the back door having took off our steel gate.

“They stole around £100,000 worth of jewellery including earrings, rings, gold chains, bangles and diamond bracelets.

“CCTV has been passed on to the police and we are offering a substantial reward for information which leads to us getting the items back.”
