Arsonists torch speed camera in Bedworth

Arsonists torched a speed camera on a main stretch in Bedworth.

Fire crews were called to Nuneaton Road to reports that the speed camera was on fire.

They found a small fire in the camera and were quick to put out the flames.

Officers then waited for a council engineer to check the electrics to ensure that it was safe before returning to base.

Investigations into the blaze, which was reported at 7.06am yesterday morning (Sunday, December 4), are ongoing.
