A lorry driver escaped injury when his truck brought down power cables near a farm in Warwickshire.
The tipper truck's body was in a raised position when it struck the 11kV overhead electricity lines on a farm access road in Ansley, near Nuneaton.
The owner of the lines, Central Networks, said: "Over height lorries and power lines can be a lethal combination."
It said up to 140 homes had had a power cut as a result of Friday's accident.
Phil Wilson, Central Networks' customer operations manager, said: "You don't need to come into direct contact with a power line to risk injury or even death."
