21-year-old has been arrested by police following the incident in Clay Lane, Coventry
A man has been arrested following a stabbing in Coventry last night.
Police and paramedics were called to Clay Lane, in Stoke, at around 6.25pm and a 42-year-old man was taken to hospital with abdominal injuries.
West Midlands Police say the injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
A 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of wounding and is currently helping police with their inquiries.

Coventry man pleads not guilty to Stoke assault
A Coventry man accused of attacking another man in the city will stand trial later this year.
Denzil Grant, 21, of Cheylesmore, was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm after a man suffered abdominal injuries in Clay Lane, Stoke, on Thursday, July 7.
The 42-year-old man’s injuries were said to not be life-threatening.
Unemployed Grant, from Park Paling, appeared at Warwick Crown Court on Thursday when he entered a not guilty plea and the case was sent for trial.
It is hoped the trial will get underway in October and Grant was remanded in custody.
