Alex Quinn and Lisa Manning were sentenced after another dog walker was bitten on the finger

Two people have pleaded guilty to having dangerously out of control dogs after another dog walker was bitten.

Alex Quinn and Lisa Manning admitted the charges at Coventry Magistrates’ Court and now their two pitbulls have been ordered to be destroyed.

The charges were brought against the pair after an incident on a grassy area near Brade Drive, in Walsgrave, on October 13 last year.

Two people were walking their Akita dog when the two pitbulls, named Reggie and Roman, attacked the other dog and the victim was bitten on the finger.

Manning, 39, and 18-year-old Quinn, both of Athol Road, Walsgrave, admitted possessing two dogs to which the Dangerous Dogs Act applied, and two counts of being in charge of dogs which were dangerously out of control.

Both were ordered to pay £25 compensation and £150 court costs, as well as undertaking 60 hours of unpaid work each. The magistrates also ordered that Reggie and Roman should be destroyed.
