A teenager has been charged with assaulting a PCSO in Coventry.

Lee Boffey, 19, was arrested after officers were called to an incident in Riley Square, Bell Green, on Wednesday afternoon.

He was initially arrested on suspicion of supplying drugs, but was subsequently charged with assault.

Unemployed Boffey, of Frevill Road, Bell Green, has been bailed to appear at Coventry Magistrates’ Court on May 26.

Teenager gets unpaid work after assaulting a community support officer in Coventry

A teenager who admitted assaulting a police community support officer (PCSO) in Coventry has been handed unpaid work.

Lee Boffey, 19, was arrested after officers were called to an incident in Riley Square, Bell Green, on Wednesday April 13.

He was charged with assault and admitted the offence at Coventry Magistrates’ Court on Thursday.

Unemployed Boffey, of Frevill Road, Bell Green, was handed a 12-month community order with 80 hours unpaid work and ordered to pay £50 compensation and a £85 victim surcharge.
