Cars stuck in queues as they try to leave Barracks car park

Drivers are finding themselves stuck in huge queues as they try to leave a Coventry car park.



The problems at the Barracks car park, in Barracks Way, off Greyfriars Lane, have arisen over the past couple of week.

Some drivers have complained of waiting an hour to simply get out of the car park itself.

Coventry council say they are monitoring the situation, which is believed to be caused by sheer volume of traffic.

A council spokesperson said: “We are aware that at peak times it is taking some time to be able to exit the Barracks car park.

“This is due to the volume of traffic. We are monitoring the situation to see if we can do anything to improve things.”
