The supermarket chain - which has numerous outlets and stores in Coventry and Warwickshire - is recalling some of its products over fears that they may contain undisclosed nuts.

Aldi's Specially Selected Yogurts are the products in question, after it was discovered they may contain hazelnuts - an ingredient which is NOT mentioned on the product label.

The country's Food Standards Agency issued an alert, saying: “This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to hazelnuts.

“If you have bought one of the above products and have an allergy to hazelnuts, do not eat it.

"Instead, return the product to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.”

The Aldi products affected are the Specially Selected Scottish Luxury Yogurt, Specially Selected Canadian Blueberry Luxury Yogurt, and Specially Selected Fudge and Cream Luxury Yogurt.

It is understood that the product code of those affected is 64284, and the use by date is October 20, 2015.
