Robbers threaten to stab workers during raid at Subway store

Two robbers threatened to stab workers at a Subway store during a terrifying raid in Coventry.

The two men targeted the popular sandwich shop in Jubilee Crescent, Radford, on Thursday night at around 8pm.

One threatened to stab a member of staff before they stole cash from the till and fled.

West Midlands Police said that one man, in his late 20s, was arrested in the early hours of this morning on suspicion of robbery. He has been released on bail.

Officers are still trying to track down anyone else connected with the robbery and anyone with information is asked to call West Midlands Police on 101.

Police trawl CCTV in hunt for robbers who struck at Subway shop in Radford

CCTV footage is being used to track down two robbers who raided a Subway store in Coventry and threatened to stab a member of staff.

As reported in the Telegraph, the shocking robbery took place at the sandwich shop in Jubilee Crescent, Radford, on Thursday July 30 at around 8pm.

Two men entered the store and threatened to stab one worker before they stole cash from the till and fled.

West Midlands Police confirmed that one man, who is in his late 20s, was arrested in the early hours of Monday morning on suspicion of robbery. He has been released on bail.

A Subway spokesman said: “We can confirm an incident took place at the Subway store in Jubilee Crescent store on July 30.

“The store contains top CCTV surveillance which has greatly assisted in the police investigation.

“We are assisting police with their enquiries, but as this is a live investigation we are unable to comment further.”
