Police are investigating two serious crashes in Bedworth, one involving a young cyclist.
Both happened earlier today, and both have been described by the police as ‘serious.’
In the first, a part of Coventry Road at the junction with the Texaco Garage had to blocked off as emergency services worked to help a young cyclist, who has not been identified, who was seriously injured in a collision.
The cyclist’s condition has not yet been revealed, but officers are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area and who witnessed the collision. Those with any details should call PC Davies on 01788 54 111, quoting incident number 305 of May 18.
Also, at 5.15pm, both the police and Warwickshire Fire and Rescue responded to 999 calls after a car ended up on its roof in Newdigate Road.
Crews from Nuneaton and Bedworth Fire Station arrived at the scene and firefighters found one person, who was ‘medically trapped’ in a red car. They had to use cutting equipment to release the injured person, who has not been identified, but was taken to hospital.
