Two arrested after Coventry stabbing

Police have arrested two people on suspicion of assault after a man was stabbed in Coventry this morning (Saturday 11).

Officers were called to Grosvenor Road just before 3am to a report of a disorder.

When they arrived they found a 26-year-old with a stab wound. He was taken to hospital and continues to be treated for his injury which is described as non-life threatening.

A short time later police arrested two men aged 25 and 26 from a nearby address.

Cordons remain in place today while officers continue to investigate the circumstances around the attack.

Detective Sergeant Paul Jones from Willenhall CID is appealing for witnesses to come forward and to call 101. Alternatively people can leave information anonymously by contacting Crimestoppers the independent charity on 0800 555 111.

Grosvenor Road is between Earlsdon and Spon End so I can't imagine why Willenhall CID would become involved? :roll:
