COVENTRY has been named as the sixth least romantic place in the country.
The survey by Hotels.com found the city is not appealing for couples planning a loved-up weekend away.
Stratford made it into the top ten of romantic places, finishing in a respectable fifth place.
In top place was the Lake District, the birth place of romantic poet William Wordsworth, followed by Cornwall.
Making up the rest of the list were the Cotswolds, London, Edinburgh, Devon, Oxford and Brighton.
The least romantic place was Scunthorpe, followed by Bradford and Blackpool.
