Garden waste collections about to stop in Coventry

Fri Nov 09, 2012 5:15 pm

GARDEN waste collections are about to stop for the winter in Coventry.

Brown-lidded bins are collected fortnightly from Coventry residents between March and November, where the contents are taken to Brinklow Quarry and put through a composting process.

Coun Lindsley Harvard, cabinet member for city services, said: “The final collections will be either the week beginning November 19 or 26 depending on when people are due a collection. They will start again in March next year.’’

Just a reminder that garden waste can still be put in the regular green lid bin until brown lid collections resume.

Full details of waste collections over the Xmas and New Year period will be posted on this site later.
