Two men threatened staff with a firearm in an armed robbery at a Coventry bank.

A quantity of cash was taken in the incident at Lloyds TSB in Walsgrave at about 1640 GMT on Friday, West Midlands Police said.

The registration number of the Audi was believed to be H7 DPR, police said.

The West Midlands force has descriptions of the two offenders who entered the bank.

The first offender has been described as a white male between 5ft 8ins and 5ft 10ins with a very slim build and slim face.

His skin was described as dirty and he was wearing a dark-coloured hood.

The second offender has been described as a white male between 5ft 8ins and 5ft 10ins and aged about 30 with a stocky build and light-coloured hair.

He was dressed in black.

Do they mean "Walsgrave Road" or "Walsgrave Retail Park" because there was an identical robbery at the Walsgrave Road branch in August of last year?

According to the Telegraph this morning it was "Walsgrave Road" which of course is in Stoke, not in Walsgrave!

I've long regarded the area as being "bandit country". The worst part is having to travel through it to get to Walsgrave :tinfoilhat:

My Mother used to live just off Ball Hill (St Osburgs Road) and I always thought it was a great little shopping centre - guess it's different when you live there as opposed to being a visitor :|

When I was a kid we used to think of Stoke as being a 'posh' area. Reading about it these days makes me glad I live in Spon End.
