A body has been found in a burning car in a village in Warwickshire.
Police were called out to a field in Aston Cantlow, near Alcester, at just after 7-30am.
The death’s being treated as unexplained.
The car is believed to be a Peugeot 306.
Police were called to the scene, which is in a field approximately 150 yards from the Bearley Road, at shortly after 7.30am on Wednesday by Warwickshire Fire and Rescue officers who were attending the car fire.
The Peugeot 306 has been completely destroyed by fire, but is believed to be either red or dark burgundy in colour.
Investigations into how the car came to be on fire in the field are at an early stage, and police would like to hear from anyone who has any information about the car and how it came to be where it is.
At this time it has not been possible to determine any details about the body inside the vehicle, and the death is being treated as unexplained.
