Tue Dec 20, 2011 6:05 am

Two shop workers and a customer were threatened with a gun, axe and knife before being locked in a cupboard during an armed robbery.

Police said two masked men went into a Spar store in Dordon, Warwickshire, on Sunday evening.

They stole some cash and personal items before locking two female workers and a male customer in a store cupboard at the back of the shop.

They called the police from a phone in the cupboard and the offenders fled.

Warwickshire Police said they drove off in a silver-looking Seat Leon.

The first man is described as 6ft tall, white, about 30-years-old, with dark brown eyes.

He was wearing a black woollen beanie-style hat and a black scarf over his face.

Police said he was carrying a pistol and bread-style knife.

The second male, who was carrying a 12in axe, is described as about 6ft tall, of slim build, white and in his early 20s with blond or light coloured hair.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact police.
