The Nuneaton News understands that the group have chosen to protect their identity and remain anonymous but have each won around £77,000.

It is believed that they bought the lucky ticket, which secured an instant £1m, from Horeston Grange News, which is based off Camborne Drive.

The News contacted the newsagents to find out about the huge win but an assistant said: "We can't divulge any information for data protection."

A similar response was given by a spokesperson for Camelot, who said: "We can neither confirm or deny it at this time."

Millionaire Raffle numbers, which are generated randomly, are given for every line of EuroMillions numbers bought and gives a bonus chance of winning a separate draw to win £1,000,000.

The borough has not been blessed with major lotto winners with just a handful over the past decade, with a group of dinner ladies in Bedworth and a couple from Nuneaton among the lucky few.
