The city's bishop, the Rt Revd Christopher Cocksworth, led the service on Sunday honouring the UK's war dead.

The 70th anniversary of the Coventry Blitz was marked in the city last November.

About 1,200 people died in raids that destroyed most of the city centre on 14 November, 1940

The city was also pounded by heavy raids on the nights of 8, 9, 10 and 11 April, 1941.
