Coventry Blaze forward Owen Fussey has been named the Elite League player of the week after scoring five goals and claiming two assists at the weekend.
Fussey's contributions helped Coventry to a four-point weekend with victories over Nottingham and Dundee.
Blaze coach Paul Thompson told BBC Coventry & Warwickshire: "Owen has lifted it up another level now.
"I've asked him to play a power forward role. You ask any defencemen he plays against, he hurts."
Thompson added: "Fussey played for wrestling legend Bret 'Hitman' Hart's team, the Calgary Hit Men, and Hart called Owen 'The Tree' because other players just bounced off him."
In all games this season the Canadian forward has scored 12 goals, including four in the 7-6 win over the Panthers at the National Ice Centre.
