Firefighters are dealing with an explosion at a block of student flats in Earlsdon.
Fire crews were called at 8.21am on Friday morning to the top floor of a five-storey building in Upper York Street.
No-one has been injured, the Telegraph understands.
Investigations are on-going.

Just a bit of an update on this one as the CovTel are obviously in no rush to cover it accurately.
The explosion was actually on Fremington Court, a part ownership complex, which is behind the student flats on Upper York Street.
Seems to be an inert hand grenade.
Having looked at the CT website they have updated it with this further info so my opening statement may be a bit harsh.

Thanks Ryan
Initial 'explosions' turned out to be overheated aerosol cans!
Hand-grenade is now thought to be war-souvenir unconnected with blasts.

I used to have a WW2 practice grenade - bought from a stall at one of the Coventry Airshows in the 1980's ( only time we ever paid to go in ). Oh what fun I could have with that if I still had it!
