Woman hit by car in Coventry killed

A woman hit by a car in Coventry has died at the scene of the accident.

The pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in Brinklow Road, Binley, at about 13:30 BST.

West Midlands Ambulance Service said the pedestrian had been confirmed dead at the scene.

Neither the car driver nor the four passengers were injured. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call West Midlands Police.
