David Gower murder in Bulkington: Three more arrests

Three men have been arrested in connection with the murder of a man in a Warwickshire village.

David Gower, 37, of Rugby Road, Bulkington, was stabbed three times in the chest and shot in the hip in the village on Sunday, 26 June.

The three men, aged 27, 39 and 44 were arrested on suspicion of murder during the early hours of the morning.

They were arrested at addresses in Coventry and Rugby. Several people have been bailed over the matter.

Two men and three women were arrested in June but have since been released on bail.

Two charged over David Gower murder in Bulkington

Two men have been charged with the murder of a man in a Warwickshire village.

David Gower, 37, of Rugby Road, Bulkington, was stabbed three times in the chest and shot in the hip on 26 June.

Garry John Thomas Rahim, 39, and Colin David Potter, 44, both from Coventry, will appear before magistrates in Nuneaton on Friday.

A third man who was arrested on Tuesday is still being questioned.

Third man charged with Bulkington murder

Police say they charged a third man late last night with murdering a man in a Warwickshire village.

37-year old David Gower was found with massive chest injuries at his house on Rugby Road in Bulkington on Sunday afternoon.

A post-mortem revealed that he had been stabbed three times and also shot in the hip.

Police charged Coventry men, 39-year old Garry Rahim and 44-year old Colin Potter over Mr Gower’s death yesterday afternoon and hours later also charged 45-year old Seymour Young from London with murder.

Mr Rahim also faces a charge of conspiracy to cause GBH with intent.

All three are due to appear at Nuneaton magistrates.

A 27-year old man from Coventry arrested in connection with the inquiry on Tuesday has been released on bail, as have two men and three woman questioned over it last month.

Two more men arrested over Bulkington murder

Two men have been arrested in connection with the murder of a man shot and stabbed in a Warwickshire village back in June.

The 41 and 46-year old’s were arrested in Derby early this morning in a joint operation between Warwickshire and Derbyshire Police.

Both have been driven to Warwickshire where they will be questioned over the death of David Gower in Bulkington.

The 38-year old was found dead with three stab wounds and a gun shot wound to the hip in an outbuilding at the back of his house on Rugby Road on 28th June.

Two men from Coventry – 39-year old Gary Rahim and 44-year old Colin Potter – have already been charged with Mr Gower’s murder. 45-year old Seymour Young from London has also been in court accused of conspiring to cause grievous bodily harm with intent.

A 27-year old man arrested in July also remains on police bail.

Police have charged another two more men with murdering a Bulkington man shot and stabbed in June.

It’s after Warwickshire and Derbyshire officers carried out a raid in Derby early on Tuesday.

The two men they arrested: 42-year old Mark Francke and 46-year old Harold Hurst, both from Derby’s Seymour Road, have now been charged with killing David Gower.

The 37-year old’s body was discovered in an outbuilding at the back of his garden on Rugby Road in Bulkington on the 28th June. He had suffered three stab wounds and had also been shot in the hip.

The two men are due before magistrates today.

It brings to four the number of men now accused of murdering Mr Gower. 39-year old Gary Rahim and 44-year old Colin Potter, both from Coventry, are already in custody and awaiting their next court appearance.

45-year old Seymour Young from London is accused of causing grievous bodily harm with intent during the same incident.

A 27-year old man arrested in July also remains on police bail.
