Coventry Crusaders say they will not be competing in the English Basketball Leagues next season because of a lack of funding.

The club pulled out of Division One earlier this year, but had hoped to make a return in the fourth tier.

Managing director Dip Donaldson said: "Without money, and with none in the pipeline, the decision had to be made.

"We were never close to obtaining a sponsor for next season. I believe we will be back on court in the future."

They might want to consider changing their name and logo to something which is less offensive to a large proportion of the Coventry business community?

It's offensive to Muslims who remember the Crusades as a war against their religion.

"Crusader" is a word they now use for anyone who is anti-Muslim.
