Masks, postcards and paintings are just some of the pieces of art work being exhibited at City College Coventry, in Swanswell Street until Thursday.

Mitesh Patel, aged 20, of Whitmore Park, created masks for his coursework.

The art and design student said: “I made the masks out of clay to show different expressions.

"One of them was a shocked face - it looked a bit scary too. I think the exhibition has been really interesting.

“It’s been a chance to show off what we’ve worked so hard for. I was happy to get some really positive feedback from my tutors.”

Vice Principal Carrie Smith said: “We’re delighted the art show is a success. We’re very proud of the students and their achievements.”

Jude Derry, who co-ordinated the show, said: “It’s been a great having them exhibit the work in a professional manner.”

The exhibition is being held at the college from 10am until 4pm.
