A man has been banned from Coventry city centre and kicked out of his house for anti-social behaviour.
44-year old Gerard Moran – who lived at Spon Gate House in Spon End - was first reported for anti-social behaviour in October 2009.
Between January and February this year he was reported for 31 offences including assault, threatening neighbours, shoppers and staff at Whitefriars, urinating and drinking in public, exposing himself and damaging property.
An ASBO handed out by Coventry County Court means Mr Moran can’t enter the city centre, Spon End or any Whitefriars property.
Neighbourhood police inspector Brian Hornsby, said: “Hopefully the banning order, which is the result of some excellent joint working between several partners, will not only serve to improve the lives of residents tormented by Mr Moran’s behaviour but also help tackle the root cause of his offending.
“If he thinks he can ignore the conditions of the order he will quickly be hauled before the courts and could ultimately be jailed if he fails to change his ways. If anyone spots him breaching a condition or the order they should contact Coventry Police.”
