Staff threatened in armed raid at Fenny Compton store

Three men confronted staff with knives and a machete in an armed robbery at a Warwickshire store.

Men wearing balaclavas took money from the Co-operative in High Street, Fenny Compton, on Friday evening.

One staff member was forced into the back of the shop where another was working.

One man opened the back fire door while the other two threatened the staff and stole money from the safe.

They also stole two mobile phones from the staff.

Two of the offenders are believed to be black men, one of whom is at least 6ft 5ins tall.

The third offender was described as a short white man.

The staff were not injured in the incident but were badly shaken.
