Bob Bullock (pictured above) was hit over the head with a hammer after he approached three men who were acting strangely around his van on Walker’s Terrace in Brinklow on 25th April 2010.

The blow led to him losing the sight in one of his eyes – and he spent over a month on a life support machine.

21-year old Aaron Power from Coventry is the first person to have been charged in connection with the incident.

He’s accused of being an accomplice in a robbery and is due before Warwickshire’s Justice Centre in Leamington today.
