Young people have compiled a 5,000-name petition against the possible closure of Warwickshire’s youth clubs.
Shire Hall, Warwick
A huge shake-up of the county’s youth service is due to be announced next week, sparking fears some services could be axed to save money.
The petition was co-ordinated by the Warwickshire branch of Unite and was handed to officials at Shire Hall in Warwick ahead of Tuesday’s crunch decision.
Union spokesman Chris Spreadbury said: “The youth service offers young people support and guidance as they make their transition into adulthood.
“The removal of such support will be devastating for them and their wider communities.”
