Leamington Desserts Limited closure announced

A desserts firm which employed more than 160 people has closed after going into administration in November.



Administrators KPMG said "no workable offer has been forthcoming" over Leamington Desserts Limited, in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire.

It added there have been "a number of discussions with interested parties".

All of the staff except five, who are being retained to help with the orderly wind down of the business, have been made redundant.

Will Wright, joint administrator from KPMG, said: "It is with regret that we are now closing Leamington Desserts Limited with immediate effect."
