The Met Office has issued a severe weather warning for Coventry and Warwickshire.
It said heavy snow would start falling from about 0300 GMT on Wednesday and would continue across the West Midlands region until about 1200 GMT.
It has forecast up to 25cm (about 10in) of snow and said, as Coventry and Warwickshire was in the middle of the snow band, it would definitely be hit.
Drivers are being urged to take care in the difficult driving conditions.
The Met Office has also warned of widespread ice on untreated roads.
