Of course it'll fit; you just need a bigger hammer.

Electric vehicles have two huge drawbacks as far as I can tell. The first is that they're horrendously expensive to purchase compared to the petrol powered equivalent.

The second is that the rechargable batteries have a very limited life and need to be replaced regularly at huge cost. (Not something they tell you when you first buy the vehicle). Battery performance also falls off gradually with age.

But then again...

205mph electric Jaguar supercar concept on display in London

The 205mph electric Jaguar C-X75, which generates power for its batteries via two mini jet turbines mounted in the rear of the car, goes on display today at the Jaguar Boutique in the Berkeley Hotel, Knightsbridge.

This marks the first time the car has been displayed in the UK, having made its debut at the Paris Motor Show in September before heading off to LA in November for the annual Auto Show.

"I'm really pleased we're able to put the C-X75 on display in such a prominent place in London for a short while," said Jaguar's design director Ian Callum. "We're tremendously proud of this Jaguar concept car and what it stands for, so it's great to be able to bring it to our customers in the UK."

Jaguar claims that cutting edge technology means the C-X75 emits just 29g/km of CO2 and has a range of 560 miles, while its four electric motors produce 778bhp, enough to propel the C-X75 from 0-62mph in 3.4 seconds.

The concept is unlikely to ever make it as far as a production version but was built to celebrate 75 years of Jaguar.
